Project Administrative Assistant

The George Sollitt Construction Company is looking for a motivated Project Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience working for a General Contractor or Subcontractor in Commercial Construction. You must be dependable, detail-oriented, highly organized and work well with various tasks and deadlines.

Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Generate Subcontracts/Purchase Orders
  • Generate Subcontract Change Orders
  • Meeting Minutes
  • Process Submittals and RFI’s
  • Type Change Requests
  • Type General Correspondence
  • Run Reports
  • Project Directories
  • Filing
  • Complete Project Start-Up Tasks
  • Compete Project Close-Out Tasks
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned from time to time
  • This role will also help with the reception desk and answering phones as needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient with MS Office
  • One to three years administrative work experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • Experience with project management software such as Viewpoint Team or Vista
  • Experience with BlueBeam
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task
